Devorah Major in Italy

From 2 to 16 September, an extraordinary presence in the projects of the House of Poetry, a queen of African-American poetry and jazz poetry, poet laureate of the city of San Francisco, Devorah Major. It will be an opportunity to talk to her about her poetry, about her Italian book "In open arms", about her commitment to the weakest and forgotten, to migrants and to those who sooner or later, despite racism and growing fascism, "will inherit this land". It is important in these days of resistance to barbarism to listen to the testimony of a protagonist of American poetry and culture.
