On Monday 26 June at 8.30 pm, in the courtyard-garden of Casa della Poesia (via Convento 21/a, Baronissi), there will be an "in memoriam", a tribute to the great Slavic poet, Josip Osti (1945-2021), one of the greatest European poets of recent decades, two years after his death.
We will travel through Osti's extraordinary verses, in his language of love, in his tragedy that shocked his country, Bosnia, in the rebirth of love and of the new language, Slovenian, in his enchanted garden and refuge of Tomaj in the Karst, in his passion for haiku and in his poetic reflections on poetry.
Josip has been an essential travel companion of the last 20 years. He has made many appearances in the projects of the House of Poetry and five books published by Multimedia Edizioni in the translation of the extraordinary Jolka Milič, "The Walking Tree", "Rosa Mystica", "In No Man's Land", "All Loves Are Extraordinary", "Barbara and the Barbarian".
On a beautiful summer evening, caressed by the Mediterranean breeze, let yourself be lulled and dream with the verses of Josip Osti.
