About this event
Thirty years after the barbaric murder, Casa della Poesia is organizing an evening dedicated to the great poet Pier Paolo Pasolini in its headquarters in Baronissi. The tribute-remembrance event will take place on Tuesday on the night between 1 and 2 November (exact date of his death) and will see the participation of poets (Jack Hirschman, Agneta Falk, Giancarlo Cavallo, Giacomo Trinci) and musicians (Renato Costarella, Gaspare Di Lieto, Fabio Notari). During the evening, starting from 7.30 pm, some films by Pasolini will be screened: "La ricotta", "What are the clouds?", "Notes for an African Orestea", a RAI documentary on the meeting between Pasolini and Ezra Pound. Of notable importance is Laura Betti's extraordinary homage film "The Reason for a Dream" in which the prophetic and anticipatory figure of Pasolini is exalted. The homage to Pasolini, which began already this summer, will continue in the following weeks (7, 17, 21, 28 November, 5, 12, 19 December) with the screening of the "trilogy of life" ("The Decameron", "The Canterbury Tales", "The Flower of the Arabian Nights") and the scandalous "Salò or the One Hundred and Twenty Days of Sodom", "Medea", "The Gospel according to Matthew", "The Walls of Sana'a”, “The paper flower sequence”.
