Paolo Rumiz writes a poem that recalls the sounds of "The quince of Istanbul", but at the same time, in recalling the myth of the foundation of our continent, he questions its origins, its values, its tears and its lacerations: in an ideal diptych with Il filo infinite.
"A belt of constellations decorated the sides of the boat as a sign of good luck for the journey."
A young Syrian, war refugee, escapes on the sailboat of four men thirsty for myths. The girl is called Evropa. From that moment on, the legend of the Phoenician princess kidnapped on the coast of Lebanon by Jupiter transformed into a bull is intertwined with events in the Mediterranean today: emigrations, secessions, conflicts, mass tourism. Impregnated in a dream by the king of the gods, the girl manages to land in Italy after endless adventures and give her name to the Land of Sunset, which however does not recognize the Great Progenitor in a daughter of Asia. After his dramatic landing, Petros, the captain, will continue to travel alone without docking in any port. He too was clandestine, but free, until his mysterious disappearance.
